How many internet gateways can you have per virtual private cloud (VPC)?

A virtual private cloud (VPC) can have only one internet gateway attached to it. The internet gateway serves as a horizontally scaled, redundant, and highly available VPC component that allows communication between instances in the VPC and the internet. Each VPC can be connected to only one internet gateway at a time, which acts as a bridge for traffic entering and exiting the VPC.
